Late
Baroque
Fontana di Trevi is without doubt
the most famous fountain in Rome. The design
of the fountain is highly symbolic. The Palace
of Neptune dominates from the high.
Architects
Pietro da Cortona (1596 - 1669)
and Bernini (1598 - 1680) started with project.
The death of Pope Urban brought the work for
about a hundred years. It was Nicola Salvi who
finished the fountain between 1732 -1751.
